As a member of the Knights of St Columba you and your family will enjoy many personal and family benefits. It also provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people. Members receive 4 free issues of the Columba magazine annually and are eligible for any other benefits provided by the Knights of St Columba.

Peckham Council 117 has for many years assisted all of the Churches in the areas it covers. It distributes Christmas and Holy Week posters in each of them, it assists, where it can, local people of all denominations, the homeless and the deprived. It supports SPUC and Province 12, which Council 117 belongs to, in providing stewards for various pilgrimages at the Friars Aylesford Priory, Aylesford.

Council 117 also has a good social calendar with various local and Provincial functions held through the year in which our ladies are invited. All of the actions carried out by Knights are with the knowledge that we are working to-gether in an organized body which helps create an atmosphere of good humour, fun and can involve the whole family. Children are able to take part in our annual Christmas Card competition and an annual Youth Day is held at Aylesford Priory.

Although ladies are unable to join the Order directly, without them the Knights would not function so efficiently. Our ladies provide invaluable support to the Knights and the Council by providing assistance at events and fund raising activities. They help with setting up, decorating the hall for events and giving their men permission to attend meetings!!
